Dreadful post tonsillectomy pain, I'm on day 5 of recovery

Answered by a doctor

I'm 18, on day 5 of recovery. I really had to force myself out of bed to feel better. I wish my ENT, or anyone for that matter, would've prepared me for how painful and dreadful this truly is. I leave for college in 4 days, so hopefully it'll be a speedy recovery

Diary of late teen going through post-op tonsillectomy

Answered by a doctor

So after large amounts of googling, I didn't find a whole lot about 17-19 year old tonsillectomies. I read about kids to young teens, adults, mid twenties, etc. But just about butt nothing for late teens! You hear about it feeling alright as a kid, and excruciating as an adult, so you're not sure...
