Has anyone had their sense of taste return after a tonsilectomy?

I am desperately trying to find successful stories of post op tonsilectormy patients who lost their sense of taste after surgery, but has since returned. I notice that people will/have posted blogs up to 3 mos (in one case up to 6 mos) post op, but then they no longer post regarding their progress....

Bloody spot on tonsil

I have a blood pocket on the front of my left tonsil and behind the tonsil it is white with about three or four little black spots.It is alittle sore, and i'm always trying to clear my throat, could this clearing of my throat caused the bloody spot to appear on my tonsil?
