Question about chronic lower right abdomenal pain

For the last week I've been having this strange pain in the lower right side of my stomach. It feels very sore like I pulled a muscle but I know I haven't done anything to pull one. It hurts more when I strain my stomach to urinate. I can feel the soreness when I walk. I've had it for about 5 days....

I have Artrosis; 3 mths ago lumbar surgery artrodisis posterolaterl L4-L5-S1.since last tuesday only part time use of brace, combined with lighter corset. developed pain and swelling mid abdomen 2 days ago, could muscle strain cause so much pain? ChrisM
