My husband had a 4-way bypass almost 3 yrs ago. The heart issue is under good control, but his sternum is not healed and pops constantly, even while breathing. This is not painful, but alarming and I would guess, not normal. His heart doctor has finally agreed to refer him to a surgeon about this....
