This article referred to "the side" on which the dehiscence occurred when mentioning surgery. I have bi-lateral dehiscence and understand that this is extremely rare. The article was encouraging, but I wonder if I do elect the surgery, should it be once side at a time or both together. I'm still very confused and not doing well.

Did you have the surgery? I'm in the same vote right now. I have it on both sides but, symtomatic on 1 side.
