Hi - I would be grateful if you can help me with tyre sizes. I am totally confused! Does the 30 mean that they are 2mm wider than the originals? Or is it 28? Does it mean 2mm greater diameter or 2mm greater circumference? Any of these 2mm measurements would be of no importance, but maybe they need 2mm wider (or longer and rounder) wheels. If so, they will not fit at all.

I'm confident that your tire will fit. It's supposed to be 2mm higher above the rim (4mm greater diameter altogether) and also 2mm wider. However, manufacturers sometimes
forget to give you accurate sizes, so it could actually be the same size or even smaller. Also, the width of your rim has a direct influence on the shape of the inflated tire. The wider the rim, the wider but shallower the tire will be. The inner diameter (at the bead) is the same with all 700C tires*, but fatter 700C tires have greater outer diameters and widths. A far as I know, 30mm is not very common. On the other hand, 32mm is quite a usual size.
