Taking MS Cotin with Oxycodone

I've been taking 5mg of oxycodone but to get pain relief I take 3 or 4 ,I'm percribed 2 at a time. Today my hospice nurse wants to add ms cotin 30mg every 12hrs. and take the oxycodone for breakthrough pain,why not just increase my oxycodone to 10mg?
