I want to know some thing and I am scared I am going to be judged for this. my pregnancy has been long and hard. this is my first child and they will induce me this Wednesday during my pregnancy I took Oxycontin but not large amounts. the reason for me taking it was not that I was addicted to it I was so sick that every day when I would wake up and have a migraine. I told my doctor about it and she blew me off. what started happening was I would get the migraine vomit and vomit until I saw stars. then. it would not get any better. I did this trough out my entire pregnancy. After a while blood started dripping from my nose and my mouth when I would vomit. so I started taking Oxycontin that a friend gave me. I tried telling my doctor what was going on.but I felt like since this is my first pregnancy she thought I was just over reacting my question is I found out that these pills are a opiate and I did not know that. I stopped taking them and have not taken them for almost three weeks my question is how long does it stay in the system of my baby? I am so scared that I am going to get into trouble because of lack of knowledge on the subject. the baby seems to be fine but I dont want him to be addicted to any thing. I feel so ashamed because I should have found out what I was taking and what was in them before I agreed to it. please some one help me and God forgive me.
