how can I safely and with as little side effects as possible get myself off lexapro

I was seeing a Dr for several years, but within the last year lost my insurance. I really would like to be able to lesson my dosage of Lexapro and hopefully get completely off of it some day. Any help?

I have been on effexor for the last 5 years, I am now weening myself off by taking out some of the balls every day. How long will it take for my metabolism take to return to normal. Will I start seeing results soon???
