serious sleep problems

:-( I fall asleep easily but am waking regularly with a sensation of falling of a curb and the jolt is so hard it takes some time to regain sleep only to find i go through the whole process repeatedly. I would be grateful if you could shed some light on this matter. Regards Olly.
