I had some really old,watery nail polish and I emptied it down the drain,is this bad?

Before I emptied it down the drain I added water to the polish to make it more watery and then poured it down the kitchen sink drain. Is this bad? I didn't know how to get rid of the polish and still keep the bottle. :-)
