I have pain in my lower abdomen when i go to pass water. I have to start and then stop. I also have swelling in the groin area. The doctor (urologist) said I have an absecess just before or close to the uretha and he has recommended surgery. I have a daughter 7 months old.

I did read through 'urinary tract infections' section. But I don't have other symptoms listed in the forum (eg. burning pain, urine odor, back pain.)
