can not stop flow of urine once I start

I had a vag hyster w/ bladder sling in Oct 2007. Everything went very well. My question is that once I start to urinate I can not stop the flow of urine at all and when I have to go and if I do not get to the bathroom in time I wet my pants immediately. Is this normal?

Constant urge to urinate without much urine flow

It's happening for the first time where I have this constant urge to urinate but when I finally do, there's barely any amounts to pee. This is highly uncomfortable since it does not allow me to get a whole nights sleep or to even sit in a movie.
