I had a vag hyster w/ bladder sling in Oct 2007. Everything went very well. My question is that once I start to urinate I can not stop the flow of urine at all and when I have to go and if I do not get to the bathroom in time I wet my pants immediately. Is this normal?

You have to understand that every procedure has side effects. In your case you have problems controlling your bladder and urination due to hysterectomy. This is very common procedure and if I am not mistaking more than half of million are done every year in the US. You might have bladder infection right now. Have you noticed any pain when you urinate? You could try to use some antibiotics in order to get rid of the infection if you have any. Also try to drink a lot of cranberry juice because it will help with the infection as well. How much water do you drink per day and how often do you go to urinate daily?
