How am I getting away with this?

I take around 2000 mg of diphehydramine a night. I see from ALL the posts that this is a massive dose and that I could've easily died. I have serious chronic insomnia. I can't stop my brain from going and going and going. And if I don't go to sleep I feel like I'm losing my mind the next day....
