There are three types of detecting tests: urine, blood and hair. The blood test is the most accurate one but also the most expensive. Hair test is also expensive (around $100-150) and detects much better that the urine test. Urine test is the least expensive, can be done at home and can be affected if a person’s been abstaining from use some time before the test.

It is certain that your friend will have to refrain from smoking weed for some time because believe it or not, marijuana can stay in your system up to 90 days but it is usually a month, never less than 20 days after the last smoke.

Even if the urine test is taken at home, they may be temperature tested to insure integrity of the sample.

Now, the amount of drug that has been taken as well as time when it was taken could have an impact on the test. Detection may be influenced by the method, tolerance, fluid intake and frequency of ingestion.

I don’t know when your friend is about to get tested but I would suggest he stopped immediately if he wants to pass the tests. After all, at least marijuana is not addictive! The only question is if you want to quit!

im replying to dennisd's comment on cannabis not been addictive i have been a frequent user of cannabis now for many years i have also taken drugs such as extacy speed and cocain and found these three class a substance's to be less addictive than cannabis
i have now come to the conclusion that any addiction be it alcohol cannabis etc is a state of mind if you think you need the drug to get by then u will crave the drug.
which brings me to DennisD's comment about wanting to quit and couldn't agree more the only way to cure any addiction is with positive thinking.
