Being lost or absent minded while talking either on phone or face to face

One of my friends, whenever I talk to her she seems absent minded or un- invloved in conversation. she bahaves this way when I talk to her on phone or even sometimes when we r in face to face conversation also.  Sometimes se keeps repeating the same thing on phone like "nothing... u tell me" etc...
