One of my friends, whenever I talk to her she seems absent minded or un- invloved in conversation. she bahaves this way when I talk to her on phone or even sometimes when we r in face to face conversation also.  Sometimes se keeps repeating the same thing on phone like "nothing... u tell me" etc etc. So I want to know is she suffering from any kind of mental disorder  or Psychological problem or this behavior is just normal???

You probably don't have much to worry about.

First try to find out, what is causing her forgiveness.

Please don’t come to conclusion of disorder or Psychological problem immediately. Figure out first, what could be the problem.

Remember, "Tip of the tongue" forgetfulness is one of the changes that happen as we age.

Some things we do always forget one day or the other, but without diagnoses you cannot call Psychological problem

Find-out if your friend is depressed due to any reason! You did not mention the age of your Friend in the Topic.

Is she too old? I wish/hope she is not. If she is, then please check for “Alzheimer's disease”

Following is other care she has to take:

Get a good night's sleep. Not getting enough deep, restful sleep causes cognitive impairment later in life.

Feed the brain. Some research shows antioxidant vitamins have protective powers against Alzheimer's disease.

Medications -- prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs -- can cause memory or concentration problems, which you should discuss with your doctor.

EXERCISE: We know that exercise has positive effects on the brain. The bottom line is:  that most of us feel good after exercise. Physical exercise is good for our mental health and for our brains.

She should take care of: For high blood pressure, smoking, high cholesterol and obesity.

Parkinson’s disease is another name for loss of memory.

Wishing your friend for a quick memory improvement and all the best.
