sore throat stiffness, hard to swallow

I have recently been diagnosed with ulcer on tip of esophagus after a gastrospy was done......... Biopsy was not possible that day d/t I still had food in stomach. It has just coninued to get sorer and stiffer... What should I do... could this be throat cancer??
