Problems after Lasik

I have problem with my eyes. I will try to explain the situation. I like to go mountaineering but it is a problem if you have glasses. I had never been too eager to wear contacts. So Lasik, laser eye surgery was only solution. But now I have problem because my eyes are too dry. What should I do?

I have something on my lower left eyelid, just showed up today. It's kind of red, puffy, etc.. Here's a pic, I circled the reddish area. Anyone know what it might be? The area itself is a bit tender, hurts a little when I blink.
