Can an X-ray show the evidence of air fluid levels?

Can an X-ray show the evidence of air fluid levels within the lower colon, and on the left side abdomen, most likely bowel and large intersite? I know that X-ray can 'see' bones, joints, calcification within organs. But can it 'see'/show organs and air-fluids?

I have been having stomach problem for a month now, it usually lower abdominal pains, passing of gas urging to stool always but when i go i pass only air sometimes, and severe stomach rumbling with mucus in stool. What could this be ? can someone help.
