I’ve got a hard lump in one of my testicles

Hi. I’ve got a hard lump in one of my testicles. It’s about the size of a pea and I’ve seen my doctor which has given me some tablets for it. But, even after a month long treatment I’m still in pain!!! What is the cause? What is wrong? How can I treat it? Please help.
