brain tissue coming out of nose

doctors say my 14 year old brother may have brain tissue coming out his nose, no head trauma, a mass was found in his left nasal cavity, a biopsy has been done awaiting results. I can't find any info on what this is or how its caused, how its fixed please help :'(
