My scrotum is really dry. I think it was caused by my girlfriends yeast infection so I used monistat 3 and now it's even more dry and leathery. Why is this and what do I do?

Started about a year ago, Everytime I shower or sweat these bumps start to appear in about 5-15 minutes after contact with the water or moistness of sweat. It is starting to get worse.
