popping noise when I swallow, there is no pain

I have a popping noise coming from the upper right side of my throat when I swallow with my head facing forward. It doesn't make a noise when swallowing food or drink only spit. Sounds like joints popping and there is no pain. It started doing this 3 days ago and is irritating.

I am having pain in my throat that does not stay at a particular point/place since last 4 months. It travels near collar bones to upwards near the adam's apple. sometimes it even disappears. Doctors say it may be acid reflux but no concrete solution is received yet. Kindly suggest what to do?
