My 11 1/2 years old son has Swallen thighs, Is That Normal??

I just noticed that my sons thighs are kinda swallen, I found that out by pressing on his thighs with my finger and seeing the white marks my figner left on the thighs when I pressed on them, is that normal?? plz advise thank yo Lin A
