toddler stomach virus started with a rash?

my grandson had a rash off and on for 2 weeks the rash went away and then he got a stomach virus-vomiting but no dirrareah-spent 2 days in the hospital with iv fluids and 20 minutes before going home threw up again,the doctor said take him home let the virus run its corse........

fingernails falling out

I have a 11yr old daughter and she has a couple of fingernails that are falling off. She said they hurt at times. Didn't know if this is something we can do at home or should take her to the doctor. Its not very nice looking.
