I am on day 9 of recovery after tonsillectomy surgery. A lot of my pain has decreased, as well as much of the swelling in my tongue, and excruciating pain when I swallow, etc. But I am having a new sensation: the back of my tongue, throat, and roof of my mouth feel almost like they have canker sores...

How long in the hospital

I am going in for surgery in a week, and I was wondering how long I'd be in the hospital. Is it an overnight thing and then I go home? or Do they send you home that day? I know they say it takes two weeks or so to recover, but how much of that time is spent in the hospital?
