I am so relieved to find others that have increased pain on days 3-6 post tonsillectomy. I am on day 6 and I actually cry from the pain! And I don't cry from pain! Ever! But this really hurts. After I wake up its worse. And I am on hydrocodone/apap and ibuprofen. I will say the ibuprofen is very important, because it definitely helps with decreasing the swelling. Because I tried to go without it! Big mistake! I realized just how beneficial the ibuprofen was. I never heard anything about toast. Could someone enlighten me on this? I was told to eat soft foods. Anyway, God be with you others out there. Because I truly understand what you are going through.
