bad metalic taste in mouth when I eat

For the past 2 months I have had a metalic taste in my mouth when I eat, food doesnt taste good, cokes taste bland.  I had a brain MRI about 2 months ago and have had a gall bladder attack recently.  Does your taste ever come back to normal?  I dont care if I eat or not lately.
