Hi, my daughter is diagnosed with Hemophilus influenze throat infection. And was prescribed with tetracyclin. I wonder what are effects of tetracyclin, because in some earlier infections she was given amoxicillin.

Some not so common infections are also treatable with tetracyclin like typhus, chancroid, cholera, brucellosis, anthrax, syphilis, and acne. Peptic ulcer caused by Helicobacter pylori, this medicine. Tetracycline should be taken at least one hour before or two hours after meals to reduce lessen absorption due to food binding.

I have been on tetracycline for 3 weeks, every 6 hours, for my skin acne and now I haven't had my period yet. Is it because of the antibiotic?
