Chick flick warning
I normally would not watch a movie like this, but it was Robin's turn to pick out a movie, so we watched it.
It is set in San Francisco with a book reviewer who comes to find out through a bad review she wrote on an author that her husband is cheating on her and a nasty divorce ensues.
She eventually gets talked into a "gay tour" of Tuscany, Italy because her one gay friend is pregnant and can't go (this is not really developed further but the girl is in a relationship and "they" get pregnant)
She finds an eccentric former actress there who has made the quaint town home and Diane Lane ends up finding a cottage in Tuscany and buys it that day.
The movie continues as she remodels the house and tries to make the house a home while she is trying to remodel her life.
She loves and loses, loses and loves but the house gets remodeled and built into a home. But a little different than what she planned a "home" to be.
One thing about this movie is that it is not predicitable.
I was pleasantly surprised with the ending of the movie and the scenery was outstanding.
The little village was quite beautiful and the characters were well done.
Out of a 6 shot revolver. 5 shots.
