Will antibiotics cure carbuncle boils?

:( If someone has a carbuncle boil on the behind will antibiotics alone cure it?? There is no head on the boil, but there does seem to be a core inside the center of the boil. I do not have a bath tub, only a shower in my home. I cannot reach it to put on hot wash cloth. Thanks for any help...
