When is it safe to take Codeine after drinking?

To clarify, I'm asking how many hours after drinking should I wait to take Codeine without a substantial risk of any amplification of the effects? I'm well aware of the dangers of mixing CNS depressants so I would hope to avoid them. Thank you for any answers.
