Anticoagulants prevent blood from clotting while Thrombolytics dissolve and disperse blood clots. Anticoagulants include Warfarin, Heparin, Certoparin, Bivalirudin, Dalteparin, Enoxaparin etc. Thrombolytics include t-PA, reteplase, tenecteplase, anistreplase, streptokinase and urokinase. Talk about them on this forum.

Warfrin, using it since 1974

i have been using Warfrin since my first heart operation in 1974. i now have small pimple-like skin eruptions which, when opened bleed and a 'worm-like' object comes out. could this be caused by the lengthy period of the intake of Warfrin?

iam 27 yrs old and have clots in my right leg undergoing a treatment for the last three months but since two days have bad skin rash n redness all over the body. is it because of the cumodin? how can i get rid of it? also i recently shifted from warfarin to cumodin, its been a week now! please reply...

Okay, so i was just told i have a blood clot in my lungs. I know your not supposed to drink often while on Warfarin. But will one weekend of drinking every once in a blood moon really hurt me? I know binge drinking all the time may hurt me, but will binge drinking one weekend out of the whole year...
