Anticonvulsants (Epilepsy prevention drugs)

Anticonvulsants include Barbiturates ( Barbexaclone, Metharbital, Methylphenobarbital, Phenobarbital, Primidone), Hydantoins (Ethotoin, Fosphenytoin, Mephenytoin, Phenytoin), Oxazolidinediones (Ethadione, Paramethadione, Trimethadione),Succinimides (Ethosuximide, Mesuximide, Phensuximide), Benzodiazepines (Clobazam, Clonazepam, Clorazepate, Diazepam, Lorazepam, Midazolam, Nitrazepam, Temazepam), Carboxamides (Carbamazepine, Oxcarbazepine, Rufinamide), Fatty acid derivatives (Valpromide, Valnoctamide), Carboxylic acids (Valproic acid (Sodium valproate & Valproate semisodium). Trileptal effectivness

What can you tell me about new medication called Trileptal? Is it effective? I am willing to try but I am worried about side effects. I’ve been having side effects from every drug so far.

Dilantin and pregnancy

Hi, I am in my sixth month of pregnancy. The problem is my epilepsy (grand mal). This is my first pregnancy and I am very scared. In the case of seizure, may I take Dilantin? Can you tell me how does that medication affect pregnancy? Do I have a reason to be worried?

KEPPRA & SEIZURES

Hi. My 5 years old son was diagnosed with epilepsy. He was prescribed with Keppra. I don`t think that drug is suitable for such a young child. Should I ask for another drug?

Zonegran for seizures

I am on Keppra, Zonegran and Depakote for multiple types of seizure, also now at age of 49 in menopause. I put lots of weight in past year and I was wondering are meds related or it is just hormonal thing?

can a person die coming off of Klonopin

I can't think. The pain is SO bad! My legs are killing me! Anxiety thru the roof. I feel like my brain won't work. I'm having so much trouble just posting this I'm crying. Coming off of 2mg to 1.5mg-day 2. It's only gonna get worse! Can someone please give advice? Anyone gone thru this?

drug interactions

my brother who has a milignant brain tumor was prescribed kepra along with dylantin for seizures. Upon taking both medications mixed with metanx (B-vitamin) as prescribed by his doctor he almost went into a seizure again. Could this be caused from the mixture?
