ANyone here had a fibreglass cast?

Hello, guys. My brother injured his leg playing football this morning and he will probably need a cast. Someone recommended him a fibreglass cast. I have never seen such a thing. Has anyone here had this kind of cast? I would really appreciate all your replies. Thanks for replying. Bye!
