Corticosteroids (Hormonal preparations)

Corticosteroids are drugs related to cortisol, a hormone produced in the adrenal cortex. Corticosteroids are used primarily as anti-inflammatories but could be also used for treating some malignancies or natural hormone deficiency. Corticosteroid Drugs Include: Betamethasone (Celestone), Budesonide (Entocort EC), Cortisone (Cortone), Dexamethasone (Decadron), Hydrocortisone (Cortef), Prednisolone (Prelone), Prednisone (Deltasone) and Triamcinolone (Kenacort, Kenalog).

I have never had high blood pressure and 2 days ago i recieved a cortisone injection in my shoulder. Now my blood pressure is reading 148/89. Could this be a side effect from the injection?

Pain in epidural injection site 8 months later

It has been almost eight months since I gave birth to my son and received an epidural. For the last couple of weeks I have been experiencing some pain in the injection site. I wouldn't say that I have back pain, just pain in the site. The pain mainly occurs later in the evening. %-)
