CLL and chemotherapy

Three years ago I had a course of chemotherapy for CLL. My white blood count has now gone up above normal again and I have some swollen lymph nodes. My doctor says I may need another lot of chemo. How many times is this effective and does it get less effective the nmore times you have it?

i really dont know anything about anything when it comes to symptoms for cancer, so this might be a stupid question, but the past 3 weeks or so my throat has been hurting so much. i know its not strep throat cause it occasionally goes away for a day or a few hours. some days it hurts so much...
