blood in the toilet after pooping.

Last night i woke up because i was experiencing sharp lower abdominal pain. I went to the bathroom and once i sat down the pain increased a little but i was able to push easily to poop. When i wiped there was no blood but when i got up the toilet water was completely bloody. What could this be ?
