Do you run until you cant run anymore or ?

On a non-running related forum I was reading about lifting until failure and some of the opposing opinions said that one shouldn't lift to failure because you were teaching your muscles to fail. And that if you lifted 9 different exercises @ 3 sets each and failed on the last rep of each that you...

Stuck in cross-country training

I’m stuck in cross-country training. I would like to stop but it wouldn’t be fair if I do that, because that means leaving friends from my team in the middle of preparation for the race. But it’s so hard and exhausting. I always back home all dirty and covered in mud. I’ve even caught a cold...

Running with a HRM

Answered by a doctor

I recently bought and have been using a HRM. I used the CD tool that came with the monitor to find my target rates for different types of runs. The problem I find is that I am in my heart rate range, but running at a very slow pace, like a 10 min/mile pace. I know I need to be running faster, but...

Answered by a doctor

What effect overall does foot arch have on your running ability?

Answered by a doctor

I've never really put too much thought into it but does the actual arch of the foot naturally benefit runners? I happen to have an amazingly high arch to the extent that I order shoes long so that they will fit height-wise. However, back to the original question: What effect overall does foot arch...
