Is amblyopia a hereditary disease?

I have itchy and stingy eyes from time to time? What could it be? I really don’t know what’s happening. Maybe I have some infection but I’m not sure. I think that maybe I need to go to eye doctor. What do you think about my problem? Any advice? Thanks!

Cataract Surgery Burning eye

Beginning the 2nd week after cataract surgery I have had continous burning and stinging in the eye using eye drops, eye gel, eye ointment with no relief.  I see the Dr again next week but was wondering what could cause this which also includes blurred vision for distance.
