pain in back of head after a fall

About a week ago, I was asleep and fell out of bed, hitting my head on my dresser. Since then, Ive had difficult pain off and on at the back of my head towards the base. Its starting to worry me. Should I have this checked out? Or am I worrying for nothing?

I fell off my bed, backwards, and my head hit the floor and my legs came over the top of me and my weight (197lbs) was applied directly downward onto my body while my head was tucked into my chest. I felt and heard a pop in my chest and my sternum is very sore. I am not having any problems...
