Irritable Bowel Syndrome With Constipation

I suffer from Irritable bowel syndrome and the worst problem is constipation. I have terrible hemorrhoids because of this. It is painful even when I sit. I know I have to take more liquids and I do, but because of the nature of my work I can do it as much as it is needed. Any suggestion?

My stomach has been growling constantly for the past 10 or so hours. I do not have "pain", so I assume it is not heartburn. I have not had alcohol. My meals have been normal size. I have had some, but not constant, diarrhea. What is the most likely cause, and solution? Thanks.
