Half a kidney

My girlfriend only has half a kidney that works please can some one tel me how long she can live? I love her so much and she will not let me go get a test done to see if I can be a kidney donor for her I am worrying I will lose her and she is a mum of two lovely kids.

Is a weakened immune system a result of kidney donation?

I donated a kidney 15 years ago, and I noticed that I seem to get sicker than most people (both in frequency and severity of symptoms). Could this be at all related to having just the one kidney or possibly a weaker immune system from having the transplant? Thanks.
