Hi, I need some help with my father’s problem. He has been suffering from a urinary infection for a long time and he was reckless about it. So, the bacteria started to move up the urinary pathways and there is a possibility they affected the kidneys. What would be a test for proving chronic or any other kidney disease?

First, the existence of that kidney disease has to be proved and there are various tests for that. One of the method is a radiography with contrasts, magnetic resonance procedure, measuring of the flow through the kidneys etc. So, which procedure would be the best for your father – that is something a doctor should decide after the examination.
