Painful lymph node; no infection

The lymph nodes on the left side of my neck are VERY painful; I've been taking Vicodin to cope. I don't have a sore throat, toothache, or earache; no sinus trouble. I went to the doctor and they put me on Dicloxacillin which has not helped; my CBC came back normal. What could the problem be?

I have this lump on my neck that I think could be on the lymph node. If this is the case, what is wrong with me? I have heard that this can be quite serious, and even that it might be a sign of AIDS/HIV. Do I need to be worried about this? What am I supposed to do now?

Chloramphenicol in tularemia-is it efficient?
