Hi
I had a swollen area of my groin, five years ago, which was very painful to touch. I went to the hospital. One doctor thought it was a hip problem as I have Arthritis. Another doctor thought it was a hernia and another doctor thought it was hip gout and gave me medicine. After taking the (wrong) medication and my groin swelling more I went to a private clinic and they did a triplex and found DVT (deep vein thrombosis). I was in hospital for ten days and took medication for six months.
When I took the same pain just recently and tried to tell the doctors that it was DVT they didn't believe me (I'm 56 years old) and sent me home. I paid in a private clinic the next day to have a triplex and they found DVT from the groin to the knee.
I'm back home after six days in hospital and have been trying to find out why this is happening so that it doesn't happen again in another five years. (It isn't hereditary).
They did a scan whilst I was in hospital and found that I have gallstones. I also have swolen lymph in my groin, under my arms and my abdomen. I have a hard lump under the skin which I suspect after reading everything I can for the last four days, to be a lymph nodule.
I proposed to the doctors, was it possible that the thrombosis was caused by the gallstones. Those doctors, one a specialist and one a surgeon plus about five trainees, laughed when I asked if the gallestones could have caused the DVT.
(The only gallstones that show on a scan are the calcified ones, you can have the other gallstones that do not show on the scan but can still block the ducts and cause problems. By having gallstones there is a possibility of a blockage which can cause a vitamin E deficiency and if you are eating a large amount of vitamin K foods then this in turn will indeed cause a thickening of the blood. (Many times it all begins from congested Lymphs).
I've since seen one of the doctors and I suggested they go read the Medical Journals before laughing at another patient.
I get so sick and tired of doctors laughing when someone tries to help themself get better by taking something natural instead of their medication. Medication that costs millions and treats one thing by giving you something else until many times you become more sick than when you started.
All medication leaflets that you find in the packets have a warning of possible liver and kidney problems. I mean what's that?
Anyway, I'm not getting into that subject I just wanted to let people know that pain and swelling in the groin can sometimes be DVT. The doctors try their best, but aren't always right. They are just you and I with an education in medicine and unless they are constantly reading the new information. They won't be aware of the new findings.
In the beginning we only had herbs to cure our sickness. The Pharmaceutical Companies broke down the natural compound of the healing herbs and made an imitation of the healing properties...pills. Why can't we just take the real thing if we choose to do so?
Why do they think that is it so bad that they are trying to have it banned for people to buy herbal remedies?
There is a way to flush out gallstones without removing the gallbladder!
There is a way to clean congested lymph!
There is a way to flush the kidneys!
There is a way to cleanse the liver!
There is a way to clean out the colon!
All these things are done naturally like giving your car a service and a new oil change, so why don't we do the same for our body?
Why do we wait until we are sick? And, Why can't the doctor give us something natural to flush out our system?
I am asking all these questions in the hope that when I get better I will have the answers and can use the knowledge to make sure that it won't happen to me again. I want my body to be healthy again without all the medication damaging somewhere else in my body.
