making methadone last longer

I am on methadone 10mg and if I take it first thing in the monring (7:00-9:00am) by lunch or after my dose feels as though it is wearing off. So by the time i get home at 4:30 I can tell that it has completely, I have hot flashes some, and I get real anxies or more snappy than usual
