Trouble sleeping during oxycodone withdrawal. Should I continue with weaning off?

I have been on oxy for almost three years now,I took my last one last Friday and I'm having hardcore withdrawals.my doctor has me on clonidine,this helps a little with the withdrawals.but I can't sleep,so he gave me diazepam to help me sleep.should I still try to wean my self off the oxycodone too.
